Trick or Treat

Since you can't use scal with your cricut machine I bought a used Silhouette from a friend to cut my non-cricut stuff.  I love cricut but after looking at other machines I feel VERY limited with them.  I wish they would come out with software of their own that you could use other images from different sites.  Having scal and buying stuff I can't find at cricut has not slowed my cartridge buying.  What is hurting that is buying a machine just to use scal.  Here is a sketch contest I entered awhile back at ssd.  I won first place.  Title & tree is happy hauntings.  Not sure what cart the leaves and arrows are from.  The little kids came from

Breaking in the YUDU!

A friend of mine has a new baby so I thought it would be a perfect time to break in my new YUDU!  It had been sitting on the shelf collecting dust for quite awhile.  So we made a couple of onesies and a few shirts.  My other friend that helped (actually did most of the work and we just watched, thanks B) has a vinyl cutter and she cut the designs on the vinyl and then we taped it on the screen instead of burning the image on the screen.  I've never burned a screen but the vinyl was super easy to use and clean.  Not sure where she got the images.  I tried it later with cheap contact paper.  That's a NO-NO.  The cheap stuff doesn't stick good enough!
